Quick to start; Ellerby in

Notes from the Kings’ morning skate on Saturday, April 27:

-In what came as little surprise, Jonathan Quick left the ice first at the morning skate and is the projected starter for the Saturday’s season finale against the San Jose Sharks.

-Darryl Sutter confirmed that Keaton Ellerby will take the spot of Matt Greene in the Kings’ lineup. Quotes will be posted shortly, but don’t expect much to be revealed on the nature of Greene’s injury. It is unrelated to Greene’s back, per Sutter’s comments on Friday.

-Dustin Brown, Colin Fraser and Alec Martinez stayed on the ice for extra work with goaltender Jonathan Bernier, which indicates that Tyler Toffoli will remain in the lineup for tonight’s game, his 10th career NHL appearance.
