On Minnesota’s win:
“I think it was a solid, solid 60 minutes for us. It’s a really good team that we played against, so it was a big challenge for us. For us, I don’t know if you want to call it ‘back to basics’. It’s just to go out there and play hockey and do all the details right, play the game the right way and respect the game and usually the result is going to be there.”
On his save on Slava Voynov late in the third period:
“Actually, I think it hit my right calf. I don’t know if that’s especially from a goalie book. Maybe Tim Thomas’ book. But it’s something you have to battle to [do], and you have to fight. You never give up, and every now and then you can be there.”
On whether the hit on Jason Pominville changed the direction of the game:
“I think of all the things that happened in the second period, that could have changed the game in the wrong direction for us, but I think we handled it really well and that’s something we’re focusing on, to grow in that nothing rattles us. No matter what happens, there is the next shift and I think we handled it really great today.”
On his performance and whether he was seeing the puck well:
“Yeah, for sure. It’s for the guys. They’re going to be there for me, so when they meet me, I have to be there for them. That’s my job, and I’m happy I could be there for them today.”
