On the team picking up two important points:
“Yeah, definitely. Points are hard to come by at this time of the year, so any time you can get them, and try and lock up home ice, that’s our goal.”
On how games like Thursday night’s win can help heading into the playoffs:
“They help a lot. That was a playoff atmosphere. Obviously they’re trying to make a push to get in, and they came hard. We were ready for it and we fought back.”
On the feeling of scoring the game-winning goal:
“Any time you’re scoring it’s nice, but it’s not our main game, our line. So it’s an added bonus.”
On his familiarity with Columbus’ goal scorer, Dalton Prout:
“Yeah, former Barrie Colt, so it was nice to see him and play against him. He plays hard. He plays an honest game.”
On the incident at the end of the game involving Brandon Dubinsky:
“You know, just a cheap shot. That’s his personality. He has guys out there, and he goes after Dewey, who’s not our toughest player. Not the smartest thing, but it was good to get the win.”
On taking momentum away from Columbus with his goal:
“It was a big thing. Our line tries to strive on energy and create energy for the team, so I think Richie (Brad Richardson) made a good play getting to the net there, and we got a goal out of it.”
