April 4 morning skate links: Jake Muzzin

On the adjustments needed from the previous Minnesota game:
“We’ve got to play a full 60. We came out with a good first and then we kind of let them off the hook and got away from our game. So we’ve got to put a good 60-minute effort in tonight and hopefully that results in a win.”

On whether he anticipates changes to defensive pairings with Robyn Regehr joining the team:
“I have no idea. As far as practice went today, I was with Dewey. Whatever happens happens. I’ve just got to focus on what I’ve got to do and continue playing well. Bringing Reg in here is awesome. He’s a great guy. He’s got a lot of experience and leadership…With Mitchell and Greener out that we needed that, so I’m looking forward to it.”

On whether seeing Matt Greene practicing yesterday provided a lift to the players:
“Yeah, to see him out there working and skating – he looked good. So it was good to see. Good to see a smile on his face and to get him back on the ice, it’s always nice.”

On the balance he has found with Drew Doughty:
“He’s a great player, so I think if you put anyone with him, that player’s going to succeed. I just want to continue keeping it simple and working hard and let him make a lot of plays and just kind of read off what he’s doing. So far it’s working, and hopefully [it] continues.”

On whether the coaching staff sat down with the entire defense after Regehr’s arrival:
“No. Maybe with him, but not with us.”
