Join Jim Fox for a great night

For the second consecutive year, Jim Fox is hosting a great charity event in Long Beach. This year’s “Sunset Sip” wine-tasting reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Museum of Latin American Art (628 Alamitos Ave.) Proceeds from the reception will once again benefit The Guidance Center, which describes its mission as “comprehensive mental health treatment to our community’s most disadvantaged children and their families struggling with mental illness and abuse, leading them toward a positive and productive future. The Guidance Center envisions a community where all children have the help they need to be healthy and happy.”

Also scheduled to be part of the event are Luc Robitaille and his wife, Stacia; Bob Miller and his wife, Judy; Megan Drewiske, wife of Davis Drewiske; and Ian Turnbull and his wife, Inga. The event also includes a wine-tasting contest, food, a silent auction, and a showcase of artwork from museum clients. There are 250 tickets available, at a cost of $100 each ($175 for a couple).
