I’m aware — and my email inbox is very, very aware — that many people are interested in knowing if when the Stanley Cup is visiting their city/area. That’s still being determined, but please remember that in many cases these “days with the Cup” are private events. A player/coach might choose to hold a public event, and many do, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that people will be able to hang out with the Cup in (fill in city’s name here).
That said, I’ll certainly pass along information as I get it, so here are a couple things. First, Jarret Stoll is scheduled to make an appearance with the Cup on Monday in Hermosa Beach, starting at 11:15 a.m. The Hermosa Beach City Council and Chamber of Commerce will make a presentation to Stoll in Pier Plaza, after which (at approximately 11:45 a.m.), the Cup will be driven north on the Strand to the border of Manhattan Beach. Per the press release, there will not be an opportunity for individual photos to be taken with the Cup.
In non-Cup news, Dustin Brown will be signing autographs Saturday (tomorrow) at the Living Spaces furniture store in Van Nuys (14400 Arminta St.). The event is scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon, and the line will be limited to 300 people, with one autograph per person. The Stanley Cup, though, will still be in Pittsburgh for the NHL Draft.
