The Ottawa Citizen this week did a great piece on Brian Kilrea, who scored the first goal in Kings history, on Oct. 14, 1967, against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Long Beach Arena. Kilrea, now 77 years old, retired last year after 33 years as the coach, and later general manager, of the junior-level Ottawa 67s.
