THIRD PERIOD
In goal: It’s still Quick vs. Brodeur.
Kings 3, Devils 0: The Kings took a three-goal lead with their first power-play goal of the series, 4:15 into the period. Mitchell made an outstanding play to keep the puck in the Devils’ zone, as he gloved the puck to prevent a clear. Mitchell pushed the puck down low, and Mike Richards showed great poise as he held the puck, then centered it to Jeff Carter, who scored on a sharp one-timer.
Kings 4, Devils 0: A second power-play goal gave the Kings a four-goal lead. Justin Williams took the puck to the net with speed. Brodeur made a nice save, but allowed a net-front rebound, which Williams pounced on. Williams shot and scored from close range. Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar picked up assists.

SECOND PERIOD
In goal: It’s still Quick vs. Brodeur.
Kings 1, Devils 0: The Kings broke the scoreless tie 5:40 into the period. Dwight King took the puck to the net and Brodeur made a close-range save but couldn’t cover the rebound. King continued to jab at the puck from the front of the net, and then Alec Martinez finally pushed it over the line for the goal. Trevor Lewis also picked up an assist.
Kings 2, Devils 0: The Kings took their first two-goal lead of the series on Anze Kopitar’s goal with 4:53 remaining in the period. Dustin Brown took the puck to the net from the right side, then passed left to Kopitar, who got a step on a New Jersey defender, reached and knocked a one-timer past Brodeur. Justin Williams also picked up an assist, after a drop pass to start the play.
End of period:: Shots on goal were 9-9 in the period. The Kings went 3-for-3 on the penalty kill and did not have a power play.

FIRST PERIOD
Officials: Dan O’Halloran, Brad Watson (referees); Derek Amell, Jonny Murray (linesmen).
Lineups: Marc-Andre Cliche, Kyle Clifford, Davis Drewiske, Andrei Loktionov, Jake Muzzin, Brad Richardson and Kevin Westgarth are the Kings’ scratches.
In goal: It’s the Kings’ Jonathan Quick against the Devils’ Martin Brodeur.
End of period: The Devils outshot the Kings 7-6 in the scoreless period. The Kings went 3-for-3 on the penalty kill and did not have a power play.
