This is Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Kings and the New Jersey Devils. The Kings lead 1-0 in the best-of-seven series. The Devils are not expected to make any lineup changes tonight, and they will be looking for a repeat of recent history. In the second round, against the Philadelphia Flyers, and in the Eastern Conference Finals, against the New York Rangers, the Devils lost Game 1 but won Game 2. The Devils spread the minutes around in Game 1. Among defensemen, Marek Zidlicky had the most ice time, at 24 minutes, 47 seconds. Other than Anton Volchenkov (18:47), every other Devils defenseman played at least 21 minutes. Up front, nine of the Devils’ 12 forwards played at least 16 minutes. In Game 1, the Devils were credited with 44 hits and 15 blocked shots, compared to the Kings’ 35 hits and six blocked shots.
