Kings 2, Devils 1: The Kings won the game and took a 2-0 series lead with a goal 13:42 into overtime. Jeff Carter took the initial shot, picked up his rebound, wheeled behind the net and shot and scored again from the high slot.

THIRD PERIOD

Kings 1, Devils 1: The Devils tied the game 2:59 into the period with a goal from their fourth line. Marek Zidlicky took a point shot and Ryan Carter got the high-tip deflection and the goal. Steve Bernier also picked up an assist.

Drew Doughty carried the puck through the neutral zone, got past a Devils defender at the offensive blue line and, from the right circle, dragged the puck for a moment and put a shot past Brodeur for an unassisted goal.
