Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on the series win…)
QUICK: “You know what, it’s great, but it’s something that we set out to do. It’s something that we came into the season wanting to do and wanting to accomplish. I think it’s great for the fans. If you heard them, the last couple minutes and throughout the whole game — as a matter of fact, the last couple games — but those last two minutes, it gives you goose bumps, it’s so loud there. They’re having so much fun. It’s a great environment to play hockey.’’
(on shifting the focus to the Western Conference Finals…)
QUICK: “Absolutely. We have to win Game 1 of the third series, the Western Conference Finals. That’s all we’re focused on now, is worrying about Game 1 and what we’re going to do in Game 1 and how we’re going to prepare to get ready for that game.’’
(on managing to make the sprawling third-period save…)
QUICK: “I don’t think I managed anything. I think Kopi did it all. He had the touch, just to be able to feather it right underneath me there. I got a piece of the first one there, and it was kind of through a screen. The rebound kicked out, and I was scrambling. That was a game-saver, obviously.’’
