Scouting the Canucks

This is Game 5 in the best-of-seven, first-round playoff series between the Kings and the Vancouver Canucks. The Kings hold a 3-1 series lead. The Canucks are expected to keep their defense intact — as well as stay with goalie Cory Schneider for a third consecutive game — but once again shift things around a little at forward, with Maxim Lapierre moving into a second-line role and Mason Raymond skating on the fourth line. Schneider has appeared in seven NHL playoff games, but has some other professional playoff experience, as he was the goalie for the AHL’s Manitoba Moose in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Schneider and the Moose reached the Calder Cup Finals in 2009 and lost in six games.
