Quick postgame quotes (April 22)

Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…

(on wrapping up the series…)
QUICK: “It doesn’t matter what the series is, it’s huge to get a win. Obviously to close out the series, for me personally and a few guys in the room, it’s something that we’ve never done. It’s a great feeling. But we’re looking forward, now, to St. Louis in a couple days and we’re looking forward to that series.’’

(on his breakaway stop on Daniel Sedin…)
QUICK: “I had to make a few stops there, because Scheids [Cory Schneider] seemed like he kept kicking them (out). He played great in these last three games. I didn’t know if he was going to give one up tonight. He was on it all night. It took a great play by Dewey to push it into overtime. It was huge. It was a huge, huge game.’’

(on facing St. Louis…)
QUICK: “I feel we’ve played them well in the regular season. They’re a physical team, great goaltending, great defensive system. They’re going to be quite a test for us. We’re looking forward to it. We’re looking forward to the challenge. Hopefully it turns out the same way this one did.’’

(on the difference in the series…)
QUICK: “We competed hard. No matter what the situation was, we competed hard. Game 4, we outplayed them and Schneids kept them in it for another game. I think our compete level was what the difference was.’’
