Darryl Sutter’s postgame thoughts…
(on the top players performing well…)
SUTTER: “Brownie was awesome tonight. He did a really good job.’’
(on Mike Richards’ shorthanded goal…)
SUTTER: “It was a funny first period. They’ve got a lot of skill over there, all those kids. That’s what they were doing, was wheeling and dealing. Quite honestly, we had to make some adjustments to handle them.’’
(on Jonathan Quick’s game…)
SUTTER: “He made two big saves at the end of the second. It was that kind of a game. They’re playing for different reasons. A bunch of young guys, and we’re trying to stay with it and he made two big saves there.’’
(on limiting Edmonton’s offense…)
SUTTER: “They scored the power-play goal, and we weren’t doing what we were supposed to do on it. We had to make the adjustment.’’
