Brown postgame quotes (March 24)

Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…

(on the tight playoff race…)
BROWN: “Every team is battling for points now. Our focus is on Vancouver now. We played hard and the outcome wasn’t there. We can’t sit here and think about what-ifs right now. We just have to focus on the next game. We still can control our own destiny.’’

(on the late-game surge…)
BROWN: “I thought with the empty net we were fine. I thought with the power play, it needs to be a lot better in that situation. A power play late in a game, in a big game like that, we’ve got to find ways to have a power play like we did at the end of the second (period).’’

(on the game…)
BROWN: “It’s a game of momentum, and both teams had it. We had some, I think, really good chances early in the third. Thomas made a big save on Williams on the rebound. Then I think, on the next shift, they scored a goal. A swing of momentum for them. We kind of got momentum back. The last three or four minutes of the game, we had them running around all over the place. We just couldn’t find a way to score.’’
