Carter postgame quotes (March 3)

Jeff Carter’s postgame thoughts…

(on the win…)
CARTER: “It’s huge. Obviously I know the situation that the team was in here, when I came in. it’s a battle right now. Every game is a huge two points, especially tonight. If it had gone the other way, they would have been two behind us. It’s definitely nice to get a couple and help the team win.’’

(on his first goals with the Kings…)
CARTER: “A little weight off your shoulders. It’s always nice when that first one goes in. You feel a lot better about your game. When I get one, I get a little confidence and get going, and it’s good.’’

(on Mike Richards’ game…)
CARTER: “He was great. I think our line, as a whole, kind of came together tonight. We were good on the forecheck, won some battles and created some opportunities. It was good.’’

(on Brown’s power-play goal…)
CARTER: “For sure. A big power-play goal, and it kind of got the guys going. Fraz [Colin Fraser] stepping up there too (and fighting), those things always help out in games.’’
