Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on falling behind Phoenix in the standings…)
KOPITAR: “We knew it was a big game, and obviously at this time of the year you want to create some separation. We failed to do that today, and it’s disappointing, especially at home.’’
(on whether enough effort was there…)
KOPITAR: “Yeah, the effort was there, but it wasn’t enough. We’ve got to find a way to score goals to win games.’’
(on another low-scoring loss…)
KOPITAR: “It’s nothing new. We’ve struggled pretty much the whole year. Again, we’ve got to find a way to score goals.’’
(on not following up on the four-goal effort against Dallas…)
KOPITAR: “It doesn’t really matter what happened in Dallas. It wouldn’t have mattered if we had scored six. It wouldn’t really matter. Every game is a new game, that starts with zeroes on the scoreboard. It doesn’t really matter what you did or didn’t do before.’’
