Justin Williams’ postgame thoughts…
(on the third period…)
WILLIAMS: “There wasn’t any panic. We relaxed and we regrouped. Darryl, on the bench, said, `Relax, we’re still in good shape.’ We got goals from a couple of the kids tonight, getting their first goals, and that gives us a lot of excitement too. So I’m extremely happy that we won the game, even though we didn’t have as much energy as in previous games.’’
(on winning a game against a close division rival…)
WILLIAMS: “We’ve obviously struggled to score goals this year, so four goals is quite an accomplishment. [smiles] Getting a win in a four-point game, a division game, is important, especially when Dallas is right behind us and teams above us are just above us. That’s the way it is every game. Everything just seems so important. There’s always another game, and there’s another one right in front of us (against Phoenix), which will be another big game.’’
(on coming back after giving up the third-period lead…)
WILLIAMS: “I’m not going to toot our horns that much. Yes, we found a way to win a game where we weren’t at our best. That’s certainly what teams need to do, especially on the last leg of the road trip when we were playing back-to-back games. We’re happy that, even after we got that third goal, we didn’t sit back.’’
