Darryl Sutter’s postgame thoughts…
(on scoring only one goal again…)
SUTTER: “Well, we just finished winning 3-1 in a tough building. We gave up two goals and we got a point. Nobody died, and it’s a hard-working point for our team.’’
(on whether the Kings deserved the win…)
SUTTER: “A lot of opportunities. After two (periods), we thought we could have been in a better position. In the third, you’ve got to control the Tavares line, and we did a good job of that.’’
(on the confidence of Nolan and King…)
SUTTER: “I don’t think confidence was a problem for them. If I just called up and played in the NHL, I don’t think I’d be worried about my confidence. It’s young guys against young guys. We’ll try to get some consistency on it, and we’ll see tomorrow.’’
(on the overtime goal…)
SUTTER: “I think Quicker would like to have that back again. … Streit made a good play against Martinez and he put it in the middle of the net.’’
(on whether the roster needs more scoring…)
SUTTER: “Well, you want to be the No. 1 team in the league. I think there’s probably 20 of us (teams) that would like to have more scoring.’’
