Stoll out in third; status unknown

Jarret Stoll didn’t play the final seven-plus minutes of the game, but his status is not known. Stoll was slow to get up after a play in the offensive zone, and slowly skated to the bench and appeared to be flexing his leg on the bench. Stoll went to the locker room for a brief period, then returned to the bench but did not take another shift. Darryl Sutter didn’t have much of an update on Stoll after the game.

SUTTER: “I don’t know, to tell you the truth. I was just trying to get nine guys who were going, more than anything else.’’

Stoll had some company on the bench. Dustin Penner came off the ice 7:22 into the third period and didn’t play again, and there were no apparent injury issues with him. Same goes for Trent Hunter, who sat the last 13-plus minutes, and Rob Scuderi, who sat the last six-plus minutes.
