Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on finally getting some offensive support…)
QUICK: “That’s going to happen throughout the season. We’re going to go through ups and downs like that, and have a couple games where you don’t put up many, then you’re going to score a bunch. We’ve been getting points consistently in the last 15 games, so that’s a plus and we’re looking to carry that into the second half.’’
(on being able to play with a big lead…)
QUICK: “No matter what the score is, you always play like you have to make the next save. Being a professional, you can be up 6-0 or down 6-0. Whatever it is, you always have to play 100 percent. You can’t expect the fans to get behind you if you start taking shifts off or periods off, or shots off, if you’re a goalie. You’ve got to play for your teammates and play for the fans, obviously, whatever the score is.’’
