Darryl Sutter’s postgame thoughts…
(on the game…)
SUTTER: “We had one good line tonight. I thought Kopi was really good, and Brownie and Willy. After that, we had some guys really struggle.’’
(on when he felt the game slip away…)
SUTTER: “Well, it’s 2-1 with three or four minutes left. I don’t think it’s slipping away. We just needed more. It wasn’t so much that point. I thought, in the first period, they physically kicked our (butts).’’
(on how to get more from other players…)
SUTTER: “Hopefully this was just a one shot at it. Because we’ve been playing really hard, other than, I think, the Edmonton game. I thought we could have played better then, and then the first period tonight I thought we weren’t good enough. Quite honestly I thought that the McClement line dominated in the first period tonight, which means their bigger guys physically got us.’’
(on it being hard to win with only one line going…)
SUTTER: “Well, it wasn’t tonight, was it?’’
