Justin Williams’ postgame thoughts…

(on getting five of six points on the road trip…)

WILLIAMS: “A successful road trip, I think. But you’ve always got to feel like you gave one away. We’re never going to be satisfied. I know Darryl isn’t going to be, and we’re not either, but certainly it’s a good road trip and a great win tonight.’’

(on the back-and-forth nature of the game…)
WILLIAMS: “That’s certainly what it was. We had a great first period, and we knew they certainly weren’t going to go away. Their power play is a huge source of confidence for them. They were able to get one off of our penalties. There were definitely some momentum switches both ways. The goalies were great. I’m glad we finally got one in the shootout.’’

(on his goal…)

WILLIAMS: “It’s no secret that I’ve been kind of pressing a little bit, trying to get pucks in the net, and I was happy to get a rebound go in on that one and help the team, especially on the power play.’’

(on whether the Kings were due to win a shootout…)
WILLIAMS: “I certainly feel like we were, yeah. Darryl has been switching it up, just based on feel a lot. We were able to get two out of three tonight, and I think that’s usually going to be good for Quickie.’’

WILLIAMS: “I think you’re only as good as your last game, and we certainly knew we needed to come back with a little bit of snarl. We lost in Edmonton, and you need to have that mentality that we lost the last game, so we’ve got to come out and push. So we certainly had the start we wanted. We got the first goal. We played with the lead and, as I said before, we felt we were due in the shootout, so we finally got one there.’’
