Rob Scuderi’s postgame thoughts…
(on the game…)
SCUDERI: “I thought Edmonton played a good game, but we’ve got to face facts. Everything they got was off our mistakes, which were plentiful, to say the least in the first and second periods.’’
(on playing on consecutive nights…)
SCUDERI: “It might factor in a little bit, but it’s all mental. I think if you can get around the back-to-back game thing, mentally, it translates into your physical performance. We obviously struggled a little bit for two periods.’’
(on the reason for the slow start…)
SCUDERI: “I think it’s preparation. We did play last night, but nobody is using that as an excuse here. We need points. We’re a team that’s desperate, right now, to get off the bubble and get into maybe home-ice and maybe the division. There’s no excuse for it. I think it’s just a lack of preparation, myself included.’’
(on Jonathan Quick’s play…)
SCUDERI: “Both of our goalies have been great all year. They’ve given us a chance, and that’s all you can ask your goalie to do. He was fantastic all night. You look at the two goals. I know one was even strength, but it’s pretty much two power-play goals. He played fantastic for us and gave us a chance. At least we got a point.’’
