Jarret Stoll’s postgame thoughts…
(on the lack of scoring…)
STOLL: “We’re pressing. You could tell, later on in the game there, that we’re pressing. They were blocking everything there. Probably three-quarters of our shots didn’t even make it to the net. But every team does that. You’ve got to find different ways. We all know that we haven’t scored many goals, but it’s not like we’re playing bad. We just can’t find a way to put the darn thing in the net. The power play is obviously the number one key to the game right there. We have to find a way to score a goal there, or two or three, and not easily win the game, but win the game.’’
(on not scoring on the power play against Columbus’ 29th-ranked penalty kill…)
STOLL: “It doesn’t matter what they’re ranked. We have to score. You’ve got to play the same way against the No. 1 penalty-kill team in the league. It’s a very fine line out there, to score or not to score, to win by one or lose by one. We’ve just got to find more ways, better ways, to score.’’
