Winning ticket, Winnipeg trivia and dads

The Kings won last night…everywhere. The team won in Chicago and, in Edmonton, the team’s co-director of amateur scouting, Mike Futa, won $84,642.50. Futa was working at the World Junior Championships game between Canada and Czech Republic and was the winner of the 50/50 raffle drawing. You can bet that some scouts will be hitting up Futa for dinner tonight…

A little to the East, the Kings are back in Winnipeg for the first time since 1996, before the Jets departed for Phoenix. It’s a new franchise and a new arena, but there’s a lot of excitement here about having hockey back in town. To get in the spirit, here’s a little Kings-Jets trivia. The winner gets a free country-music concert from Bob Miller. Or perhaps not…

1. Who was the last Kings player to score a goal in Winnipeg?
2. The Kings’ last win over the Winnipeg Jets was on Dec. 6, 1995, a 6-3 victory at the Forum. Who scored the Kings’ fourth — the game-winning — goal?
3. Who was the head coach the last time the Kings won a game in Winnipeg?

And finally, click below to see the latest installment as KingsVision follows the dads on the road…
