This is the only meeting of the season between the Kings and the Winnipeg Jets. Jonathan Bernier is expected to start for the Kings. The Jets, of course, are the former Atlanta Thrashers, who moved north after last season and have been playing in front of loud, sold-out crowds at MTS Centre. After a four-game winning streak to start December, the Jets have gone 4-3-1, without recording consecutive wins or consecutive losses. Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien missed the last game and is considered doubtful with a lower-body injury, and Jim Slater’s status is questionable as well.
