Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on getting the extra point, after dominating the game…)
QUICK: “It is definitely good to get the two points. We can’t too happy about it, because they still got a point out of it. That’s a game where we were outplaying them, and we’ve got to make sure they don’t get any points and we get two. They got one there on the power play at the end that I think I could have stopped. That was a little disappointing, but to get two points, it’s always good.’’
(on stopping most of the Ducks’ talented forwards in the shootout…)
QUICK: “They’ve got some high-end, talented forwards. Those guys are good. Like I said, they do get that goal, which is going to happen, but otherwise I think the guys played well and we did what we had to do to get that second point. Those are games where we’ve got to make sure we get two points and — especially a division rival like them — we’ve got to make sure they don’t get any points out of it. I think the way we played, the way we outplayed them, was great. We did everything right all game. I wish I had that one (goal) back, so they wouldn’t have got that point.’’
