Scouting the Sharks

Tonight’s game is the first of six meetings between the Kings and San Jose Sharks. The Sharks started slow this season, with a 1-3-0 record, perhaps not surprising for a team that brought in seven new players this summer. Since then, though, the Sharks are 6-1-1 in their last eight games, and this is the third game in a six-game homestand. The Sharks, always a threat on offense, rank in the league’s top 10 in goals per game and power-play percentage, and are led by Joe Pavelski, who has nine goals in 12 games.
