Scouting the Oilers

Tonight’s game is the first of four meetings between the Kings and Edmonton Oilers, and features a meeting of, statistically, the two top goalies in the game right now: Nikolai Khabibulin and Jonathan Quick. Khabibulin is off to a 5-0-2 start, with a 1.12 goals-against average and a .960 save percentage, while Quick is 6-1-2 with a 1.52 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage. On defense, the Oilers are without Ryan Whitney (injury) and Andy Sutton (suspension) and the status of Cam Barker (shoulder injury) was expected to be a late decision.
