Postgame notes (Oct. 27)

Some notes from last night’s game…

— The Kings lost a two-goal third-period lead, then scored two late goals to beat the Dallas Stars 5-3 on Thursday night at American Airlines Center.

— Slava Voynov had two goals — the game-winning goal in the third period and a second-period power-play goal — and one assist. Voynov had not recorded a point in his first four NHL games.

— The Stars outshot the Kings 33-29. The Kings had allowed 28 or fewer shots on goal in four consecutive games. The Kings are now 5-0-1 when being outshot by their opponent and 1-2-0 when outshooting their opponents.

— The Kings went 1-for-6 on the power play and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill. The Kings had been 0-for-2 on the power play in their previous two games and 7-for-7 on the penalty kill in their previous three games.

— Jonathan Quick stopped 30 of 33 shots and improved his season record to 6-0-1.

— The Kings improved to 3-0-0 when leading after the second period and 3-0-0 against Pacific Division teams.

— Dustin Brown had one goal — an empty-netter — and two assists, including one on the power play. Brown had his first three-point game of the season and his second multi-point game.

— Justin Williams had one goal. Williams had gone three consecutive games without a goal after he totaled two goals and five assists in his first five games.

— Scott Parse had one goal. Parse had been a healthy scratch in the previous six games.

— Mike Richards had three assists, including one on the power play. Richards has one goal and eight assists in nine games, with five of the assists coming on the power play.

— Anze Kopitar had two assists, for his fifth two-point game of the season. Kopitar had not recorded a point in his previous two games.

— Kyle Clifford had one assist, for his first assist and second point of the season.

— Ethan Moreau had one assist, his first point with the Kings in his ninth game.

— Slava Voynov and Justin Williams each recorded a team-high five shots on goal. Trevor Lewis, Willie Mitchell and Brad Richardson each were credited with a team-high three hits. Mitchell, Scott Parse, Rob Scuderi and Jarret Stoll each were credited with a team-high two blocked shots. The Stars were credited with 25 blocked shots to the Kings’ 11.

— Jack Johnson played a game-high 27 minutes, 27 seconds, followed by Anze Kopitar at 20:57.

— The Kings won 33 of 68 faceoffs (49 percent). Mike Richards won 12 of 22 draws (55 percent). Anze Kopitar won 11 of 22 draws (50 percent). Jarret Stoll won 8 of 15 draws (53 percent).
