Monday schedule in Hamburg

It’s definitely an adjustment day for the Kings in Hamburg. It’s 10:30 a.m. right now, and players are free until 4 p.m., when they will bus over to the O2 World arena for a 5:30 p.m. practice (it’s listed as being open to the public, for those nearby). Before that, at 1 p.m. local time, Terry Murray and Luc Robitaille will be having a press conference at the arena. Some staff members are milling about the hotel this morning, most seemingly in search of some type of coffee. Today is “German Unity Day,” the celebration of the reunification of Germany in 1990. It’s a national holiday, so many people have the day off and some shops/restaurants are closed.

In terms of the roster, there’s nothing new to report. Terry Murray doubled back on his earlier assertion that he would only take the “game roster” to Europe, because there are still 25 healthy players in camp, so there will need to be one more roster move before Friday. More on that today.

Here’s a quick look at yesterday’s flight and the trip across the ocean…
