Scouting the Coyotes

Win and you’re in. That’s what tonight’s game means for both the Kings and the Phoenix Coyotes, as the winner of their game tonight will clinch a playoff spot. An overtime or shootout loss would allow the loser to inch closer, but would not clinch a spot. The Coyotes are rested and reloading. They have not played since a shootout loss to Colorado on Friday and are expected to regain the services of previously injured players Ed Jovanovski, Lauri Korpikoski and Taylor Pyatt. The Kings have a 2-3-0 against Phoenix this season heading into the finale of their six-game regular-season series.
