Will the `A’ be movable type?

First, a quick note that today’s practice has been pushed back to 12:30 p.m.

In the absence of alternate captain Anze Kopitar, Jarret Stoll wore the “A” on his sweater last night against his former team, the Edmonton Oilers. Will Stoll now pass it along? Terry Murray said he hasn’t made firm plans about what to do with the “A” for the rest of the season. Michal Handzus also served as alternate captain at the start of the season, when Matt Greene was recovering from shoulder surgery.

MURRAY: “I’m thinking about moving it around a little bit, but I’m also going to think about maybe leaving it with one player. Stolly was the choice. He’s part of our leadership group, as Zeus is. We talked about Zeus also. Zeus is one of those players, though, that doesn’t need a letter on his sweater to play. He knows, as a veteran player, what he needs to do, and I think when you have an `A,’ with some other players, it kind of asks them to step up a little bit more sometimes.”
