Hockey and poker, next week

A quick reminder about a couple things that will be taking place next week… First, tickets are still available for the April 6 and April 9 games, in which you have the opportunity to enjoy the game among fellow blog readers in a 100-level seat and enjoy free drinks and snacks, plus access to a hospitality room during the game. The cost for the “Green Room Experience” is $128 per ticket, and the games are Wednesday, April 6 against Phoenix and Saturday, April 9 against Anaheim. If you have any questions, our fearless event leader, Frank, is always available here to answer, and tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

In between is the Kings-Ducks “Rivalry Hold `Em Poker Challenge,” to be held April 7 at the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino in Highland. It’s a $25 buy-in, and proceeds from the registration fees collected from Kings fans will go toward the Kings Care Foundation. The nature of the competition — other than the poker itself — is to see whether the Kings or Ducks can register more fans/players for the event. Who will get eliminated first, me or Bob Miller? Other folks, such as Jim Fox, Nick Nickson, Daryl Evans, Heidi Androl, Patrick O’Neal, Marty McSorley, Mark Hardy, Glen Murray, Gene Carr, Pete Demers, Nelson Emerson and Ian Turnbull (and others) are scheduled to participate.
