Scouting the Ducks

The NHL’s schedule-makers definitely made the correct call last summer. Tonight’s game is the first of three meetings between the Kings and Anaheim Ducks over the final three weeks of the regular season, and with both teams fighting for playoff spots, the stakes are high. Ducks coach Randy Carlyle typically does not announce his goalie plan, but indications are that Ray Emery will get the nod. Emery is coming off a 30-save effort in a 2-1 victory over St. Louis on Wednesday. No. 1 goalie Jonas Hiller is recovering from symptoms related to vertigo and has been practicing but is not yet ready to play.
