Jonathan Bernier’s postgame thoughts…
(on the tight defensive game…)
BERNIER: “That’s our style of playing, and the guys really did a tremendous job on PK [penalty killing] and 5-on-5. We shut them down and scored a huge goal on the PP [power play] again.”
(on getting a shutout win, after his shutout loss to Minnesota…)
BERNIER: “It’s never fun to lose. It’s a big win for us, especially in the standings right now against Phoenix, and a big four-point game.”
(on the late save on Klesla…)
BERNIER: “It was kind of a broken 2-on-1, and my D was pretty close to, I think it was Pyatt who passed it. So I kind of knew he was going to make that cross pass, and I just really tried to be sharp on my angle and let the puck hit me.”
