Murray postgame quotes

Terry Murray’s postgame thoughts…

(on the “amazing” nature of the road success so far…)
MURRAY: “You make it amazing, through the commitment and hard work and doing things right, with system and structure. There was a big dig-in here today. That’s a very hard game in this building. You’re coming back after a game yesterday against a high-powered Washington team, and then facing the same, if not a better team, than Washington. I just liked the way we did things the right way, with our top players. Our goaltending was outstanding. Penalty killing really had to do a big job here tonight. They got that 5-on-3, and then to come back at the end of the day, scoring a nice goal with two of your best players, Kopitar and Doughty. It makes a difference.”

(on any concern about fatigue, coming into the game…)
MURRAY: “This is the NHL, and you’ve got to play these kinds of schedules. That’s the way it goes. You get your break the other way, at different times. You have to be ready, at all times, to play your best game. The guys were. They were fired up. You’ve got a big challenge when you come into this building. You’ve got, maybe, the best teams in the National Hockey League. They’re one of the best scoring teams, one of the best defensive teams, and solid through their lineup. So you have to come out ready to play. You’ve got to be energized and enthusiastic and have some fun in a game like this, because it’s a real test as to who you are as a player.”
