Penguins 1, Kings 0

The Kings failed to score on an early power play, and also couldn’t convert on an excellent scoring chance, when Justin Williams had the puck in the crease alone but saw it deflected away by Zbynek Michalek.

Pittsburgh scored on the counter-attack, as Pasadena native Brett Sterling took a pass in the slot, took a stride and split two defenders with a wrist shot that beat Quick to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead at the 6:53 mark.
