First look at the Flames

The Calgary Flames’ playoff chances were considered close to zero just three weeks ago, but the Flames have been all but unbeatable of late. Coming into tonight’s game against the Kings, the Flames have won six consecutive games and are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. The Kings and Flames enter tonight in 10th and 11th places, respectively, in the Western Conference, but the winning team tonight will have a chance to move into the top eight, depending on the result of the Minnesota-Phoenix game. The Flames have outscored opponents 23-13 in regulation during their six-game winning streak, and goals are always tough to come by for the Kings in Calgary, so we’ll see what happens tonight.
