Kopitar selected to All-Star Game

Kings forward Anze Kopitar has been selected for the NHL All-Star Game, to be played Sunday, Jan. 30, in Carolina. Kopitar is tied for ninth in the NHL in points, with 45 points in 42 games. He also has 30 assists — tied for sixth in the NHL this season — and 15 goals. Kopitar also represented the Kings at the 2008 All-Star Game. Not selected for the game was goalie Jonathan Quick, who ranks fourth in the NHL in goals-against average (2.18) but has slipped to 14th in save percentage (.920).
