Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on getting Mitchell and Ponikarovksy back, and winning…)
KOPITAR: “Greenie talked about it before the game, to take a look around the room. This is as healthy as we’ve been all year, and we’ve added Sturmy to the lineup as well. Those are the guys. I’m pretty sure there’s not going to be any major changes, and we have to feel comfortable with everybody that is here, and we have to trust everybody, that we’re going to do the job. It was definitely not the way we wanted to finish that game, but two points are two points.”
(on his pass to Brown for the first goal…)
KOPITAR: “It was just one of those plays. I was cutting across and I saw the D coming toward me. I saw Brownie open, so I think that was pretty much the only way to get it to him there. So I tried it and it connected, so it was a good start.”
(on finishing the first half of the season…)
KOPITAR: “This game was a good indicator, I think, of our half-season so far. We all know that can’t happen again. Hopefully this second half will be good. We finished the first half on a good note, with two points. Now we want to keep it going and build off that.”
