The Kings broke the scoreless tie 2:16 into the second period. Marco Sturm carried the puck into the Nashville zone and took a wrist shot from the inside of the right circle. Anders Lindback made the save, but Kyle Clifford was there to knock in the rebound from the left side to give the Kings a 1-0 lead.
