First look at the Predators

In terms of consistency, the Nashville Predators could be the Kings’ Southern cousins. Starting on Nov. 30, the Predators went on an 8-0-1 run. Then they had an 0-5-0 skid, a slump that started with a 6-1 home loss to the Kings on Dec. 18. Now the Predators have won three consecutive games, including last night’s 4-1 victory over Anaheim. The Predators, not a high-scoring lot to begin with, have been getting by without leading scorer Steve Sullivan (lower-body injury) as well as forwards Martin Erat (upper-body), Matthew Lombardi (concussion) and Cal O’Reilly, who broke his leg on Saturday.
