Afternoon reading

The AHL’s Manchester Monarchs improved to 6-3-1-1 with a 4-1 victory over Hartford last night. Justin Azevedo, Andrei Loktionov, Alec Martinez and David Meckler had goals for the Monarchs and Jeff Zatkoff stopped 23 of 24 shots.

Also, here are a couple pieces of afternoon reading. First, my LAKings.com notebook from today, with the latest news and notes. Second, a nice feature on new Monarchs captain Marc-Andre Cliche. Finally, a couple items from the Tampa-area papers on tonight’s game. The St. Petersburg Times reported this morning that Martin St. Louis has a sore foot but that St. Louis said he is “pretty sure” he will play tonight…
