Injury updates

Here’s more on the progress of the Kings’ two injured-list players, Drew Doughty and Scott Parse. Doughty, as previously noted, said he felt fine after today’s skate, and presumably he remains on track to play Thursday. The intensity is picking up for Parse, who might also be on track for a return this week, although it’s possible that a Manchester conditioning assignment might be in his near future as well. Here are Terry Murray’s thoughts…

(on Doughty…)
MURRAY: “He’s getting close. The color means you can participate in the full practice with no physical contact yet. So we’ll get today and tomorrow in, and see where it’s at after tomorrow’s practice.”

(on Parse starting to get work in hard practices…)
MURRAY: “And it will be a harder practice tomorrow. We’re going to get into more competitive drills, heavy skating, and if he comes through that all right, then we’ll take a look at finding a way to start playing (him in) some games.”
