The Kings had a 5-on-3 advantage early in the third period, but Alexei Ponikarovsky then took an offensive-zone penalty. The Ducks got a 4-on-4 goal, as Ryan Getzlaf made a great stretch pass, then jumped back into the play and scored. Brendan Mikkelson shot from the right side and Getzlaf scored on the rebound before Bernier could slide across.
