The streak lives

The Kings are in the playoffs, and the Ducks are on the verge of being out of them. It’s one of the oddest sports stats in Southern California…the Kings and Ducks have never made the playoffs in the same season since the Ducks joined the NHL in 1993. The Ducks will be out if they lose in regulation today or if Colorado wins, and the Ducks will be shorthanded again tonight, as Ryan Getzlaf (ankle) and Jonas Hiller (back) will miss their sixth consecutive games with injuries. For more news and notes before tonight’s matchup, check out my LAKings.com notebook…
