Shaking it up

It was pointed out to Terry Murray this morning that in the 24 hours since the Kings clinched a playoff spot for the first time in eight years, there has been an earthquake, heavy rain and, now, strong winds. Coincidence?

Murray said, “We can move great things, can’t we?”

Murray also had to defend himself from some good-natured accusations from goalie coach Bill Ranford, who essentially said that Murray bolted from the Kings’ office when the ground started moving yesterday afternooon. Murray laughed at the accusation…

MURRAY: “I didn’t know what was going on. I’m sitting at the desk watching my computer, the Anaheim game, and I’m wondering, `Am I really sensing this?’ I walk out and Billy is lifting weights, so I’m (thinking), `Is it me?’ So I went and stood in the doorway and kind of got a feel for what was going on outside. You could see a little bit of it. It was exciting.”
