Kings clinch playoff spot

By virtue of Calgary’s regulation loss to Chicago today, the Kings are assured of a playoff spot for the first time since 2002. Fourth place is all out of reach for the Kings, essentially unless the Kings finish 4-0-0 and the Phoenix Coyotes finish 0-3-0. Anything else is really up for grabs…

5. Nashville has 98 points, 46 wins and two games remaining.

6. Detroit has 96 points, 41 wins and three games remaining

7. Kings have 95 points, 44 wins and four games remaining.

8. Colorado has 89 points, 41 wins and five games remaining.
